What if Amelia lives?

What if she and Sam get back together?

What if she joins Team Free Will, and so does Riot, and Hunting truly becomes the Winchester Family Business again?

What would that mean?

What if Amelia starts treating the monsters as hurt animals who need saving? Like, she tries to cure werewolves and shifters, instead of killing them; and she soothes ghosts as they’re being banished; and she trains the Levis and teaches them to do tricks, like the stray dogs that would sometimes be brought to her clinic?

What if Sam teaches Riot to sniff out hex bags, and help dig up bones? What if Dean bitches about the dog nonstop, because he drools on the seat leather and steals his fries, but then he lets Riot sleep on the bed and keep his feet warm, because Riot sings along to Ozzy, and that means he’s a good dog, yes he is? 

What if Amelia is actually really good at shooting guns and tracking animals and camping in the woods, because she grew up with a family of hunter-hunters and decided to leave “the life” by becoming a veterinarian?

What if Cas tells Amelia about the last woman he knew with her name, and how brave she was, and how kind, and beautiful, and so very, very loved?

What if, for no particular reason, Amelia buys Cas a birthday cake with bees on it?

What if Riot pees on Crowley’s leg?

What if Cas speaks dog, or dogs speak Enochian, or no better yet the two of them instead speak some third language, like Proto-Mayan or Ancient Akkadian, and they tell each other really dirty jokes, and gossip about the way Dean kicks in his sleep?

What if Amelia and Dean constantly butt heads about what Sam likes and doesn’t like and what he should eat and his favorite music and how to take care of him when he’s sick until one day Dean realizes he finally has someone with whom he can share all those stories about Sammy’s soccer tournaments and bad haircuts and sixth grade plays (it was “Our Town”, he was so cute) and then suddenly he gives Amelia a hug for no reason and then they’re like best friends?

What if Amelia is the one to smack Dean upside the head and tell him to go after a  certain angel before he flies away?

What if Dean looks at how happy Sam is, how happy they all are, and how much this all seems to be working, and so he does? 

What if I got everything I ever wanted?
