It is crediting the authors, but to my eye this is disrespectful and robs the authors of ownership and control of their work. Their ask box is closed, so I don’t know what to do about it. In the meantime, a signal boost is appreciated.

I’m not sure why the ask box should be closed. That’s very strange. I didn’t even know you COULD do that!

To SPN Fic Rec, if you see this: I know your heart is in the right place; you just want to share with others this bounty of incredible work you’ve found. But it’s considered terrible etiquette (at best) to repost someone’s work in its entirety without permission, even if you source the work and link to the original publication page. Back when I was an editor, we actually had to threaten to sue people for copyright infringement who did this very thing.

The more polite (and less infringe-y) way to handle things would be to use the “Read More” hyperlink to link back to the rest of the fic on the author’s website, rather than post the rest of the fic on your own website.
